Terms of Service
Last updated: October 10, 2026
These terms govern your use of Smoothcast at smoothcast.tv and its streaming, production and community features. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Accounts and eligibility
You must be legally able to agree to these terms, or use the service with the permission and supervision required by applicable law. Provide accurate information, protect your credentials and notify us of suspected unauthorized access. Do not impersonate others, evade restrictions or share privileged tools with unauthorized people.
2. Acceptable use
Do not use Smoothcast for illegal activity, fraud, threats, harassment, exploitation, hateful abuse, unauthorized disclosure of personal information, spam or malicious software. Do not infringe others’ rights, interfere with the service, bypass security or manipulate engagement and earnings. Channels may apply additional community rules consistent with these terms.
3. Your content and permissions
You retain ownership of submitted content and are responsible for obtaining permissions for broadcasts, music, clips, advertisements and guest appearances. You grant Smoothcast a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, transcode, display and distribute your content as needed to operate the service and its sharing features.
This license lasts while your content is available through the service, with reasonable continuation for backups, legal retention and copies already shared by others. Removal does not guarantee removal of copies independently retained by third parties.
4. Copyright and moderation
Notices and counter-notices are governed by our Copyright & DMCA Policy. We may review, restrict or remove content and suspend access for violations, safety concerns or legal requirements. Where appropriate, contact us to request review of a moderation decision.
5. Purchases, subscriptions and creator earnings
Prices, renewal terms and charges are shown before purchase. Recurring subscriptions continue under checkout terms until canceled. Manage subscriptions through available billing controls. Refund and cancellation rights follow checkout terms and applicable law; mandatory consumer rights are not excluded.
The standard revenue allocation is 75% to the creator and 25% to Smoothcast of the billed amount after applicable processing charges and taxes. Refunds, chargebacks and reversals may adjust earnings or credit balances. Optional paid services have separately disclosed terms.
Receipts and payouts occur in isolation to Smoothcast under the processing banking service and are subject to that service’s timelines, verification requirements and restrictions. Smoothcast does not guarantee instant settlement, earnings or a particular payout date, and does not store raw bank details.
To deter card fraud, gifted subscriptions, Drops tips and a chargeback reserve are governed by our Fair Billing Agreement, which must be accepted before gifting or tipping. It limits gifts per stream by account and subscription history, caps gift spending at $1,000 per channel and $10,000 per month platform-wide unless wired funds are cleared, limits Drops to 60,000 per stream from verified accounts, and holds 1% of creator and platform shares in reserve up to $5,000 per channel.
6. Connected services and AI
Optional integrations are subject to their providers’ terms and availability. You are responsible for authorized use of connected accounts and content. Streamer AI features require separately paid credits, except where an explicit exemption applies. AI output may be inaccurate or unsuitable; review it for accuracy, safety and rights before publishing.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information. Public broadcasts, profiles and chat may be viewed or recorded by others. Do not publish information you intend to keep private.
8. Availability and disclaimers
Streaming, reminders and integrations may be interrupted, delayed or changed. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without guarantees of uninterrupted access or suitability for a particular purpose. Keep your own copies of important content. Weather broadcasts are not a substitute for official alerts or professional advice.
9. Liability and account closure
To the extent permitted by law, Smoothcast is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses from interruptions, third-party services or user content. Nothing here limits liability or rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
You may stop using the service and request account closure by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations, legal requirements or security risks. Outstanding payment obligations and provisions that reasonably need to survive closure remain applicable.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service develops. Material changes will be communicated as required by law. Mandatory laws and consumer protections in your location continue to apply. Contact us first with any question or dispute.
