How Smoothcast works

For viewers

1. Open the homepage or browse categories to find live channels and replays.
2. Watch in landscape or portrait (Vue2) format, with sound-on autoplay you can turn off.
3. Follow channels, chat, and subscribe for ad-free viewing and extra perks.

For creators

1. Create a channel and pick a workspace level, from Quick Launch to full Production Studio.
2. Go live with OBS, vMix or a browser source over RTMP, SRT or WebRTC.
3. Add overlays, schedule shows, publish replays and build a team of moderators and producers.
4. Earn from subscriptions, gifted subs, Drops tips, sponsorships and advertising.

How streamers get paid

Creators keep 75% of the billed amount after applicable processing charges and taxes, on every channel type. Payouts are made through the processing banking service at escrow level, under that service's timelines and restrictions; Smoothcast never stores raw bank details. The Fair Billing Agreement caps gifting and tips to protect everyone from card fraud.

How parental controls work

Parents and guardians create managed Family accounts for minors, choose which categories and channels are hidden, set viewing days, time windows and total weekly hours, and approve any request to stream.
