Studio capabilities

Production tools for streamers and their teams, from first broadcast to full remote production.

Five workspace levels

Streamer experience levels simplify the interface without changing permissions. Creators move between Quick Launch, Live Studio, Production Studio, AI Studio and Remote Venue production as their shows grow.

Streaming protocols

  • Ingest over RTMP, SRT and WebRTC (WHIP).
  • Playback over WebRTC (WHEP) with HLS fallback.
  • Connectors for OBS, vMix and Streamer.bot, plus NDI support.

Media overlays

Overlays such as Top supporters, Drops, emote showers, animated stickers, follower moments, sound alerts and game overlays have delivery controls: live-only renders separately in the viewer's browser; off disables the Smoothcast overlay so the streamer can use their own. Send to encoder is available for supported overlay types, not every effect. Anything burned into the encoder video can appear in replays.

Light and colour correction

Choose Received stream or Overlays, then preview brightness, contrast, saturation, hue and warmth. Received-stream corrections affect display, not saved replay video. Overlay corrections are applied to supported overlay links for OBS/vMix; encoder-captured overlay output can be recorded.

Displays and audio

  • Ultrawide and high-resolution workspace detection, with optional additional displays.
  • Production audio mixer with a local monitor.
  • MIDI lighting cues sent to venue Web MIDI devices.
  • Positional and surround audio is showcased in a theatrical demo; Dolby Surround is not a certified or licensed feature.

HD streaming is supported today. 4K for Production and AI channels, and a possible 8K option, are planned and not yet available.

Team production

  • Producer quick actions: scenes, BRB, start and end holds, failover and talkback.
  • Producer start waits in Starting Soon for streamer release; producer end uses a two-minute BRB with streamer override before finalization.
  • Moderator tools: bans, timeouts, slow mode, followers-only mode, notes and purges.
  • Multi-guest calls for remote guests.

Virtual sets and music

Preview licensed background loops and available still-alpha sets before explicit assignment in the channel scene editor. Downloadable stage/guide pairs are for OBS/vMix, not automatic browser composites. Landscape and portrait designs remain independent.

Streamers and authorized producers select available common-library music through their tools. Owner/Admin uploads and licence metadata are managed in Music manager. Broadcast, recording and destination rights must be checked; external music-provider links do not grant resale rights or connect an API automatically.
